Thank you to Skipton Mechanics Institute for their kind support which has enabled us to purchase a gravity chair. It is already making a huge difference to our children who struggle to self regulate and/or have a diagnosis of autism or ADHD #sensoryintegration#inclusiveclassroom
A quick note to let you know that we have recently updated the 'Our Family' Padlet to include information for parents on how to keep children safe as per the KCSIE statutory guidance :) https://t.co/9lG3BPAPTc
Just before our children move onto their next academic adventure and join primary school, they each receive a final school report and as part of this we ask for feedback. This word cloud has been created using the words used to describe us. Thank you so much!! #parentalengagement
We are ecstatic to share that our childcare provision has received an OUTSTANDING grading in ALL areas from Ofsted! 🎉🌟 This achievement wouldn't have been possible without our dedicated team and the trust of our amazing families. Thank you for being part of our journey! 🙏👨👩👧👦
We are thrilled to be able to share with everyone our recent inspection report which has been made publicly available today.

Following our children’s interest in mini beasts; today Tina Greaves (instructor of small animals) and Danielle Fox (head of department of animal management) from @cravencollege visited nursery school...along with some super bugs! #eyfs#understandingtheworld#culturalcapital
We were talking about earthworms in nursery school this morning. We did some research and discovered that the longest earthworm is Microchaetus rappi of South Africa. In 1967 a giant specimen measuring 670cm was discovered. But what does that length look like?
What a perfect day to test out our new outdoor cooking device to pop corn. It worked brilliantly! A sensory forest school experience! #EYFS#ForestSchool#Outdoorlearning#Sensory
Did you know that Brougham Street Community Nursery School was opened on the 17th February 1944? We have added a new page to our website to share some of our early history. https://t.co/uDg1c0CiCD #maintainednurseryschool#EYFS
"When peace comes remember it will be for us, the children of today, to make the world of tomorrow a better & happier place. My sister is by my side & we are both going to say goodnight to you. Come on, Margaret. Goodnight, children. Goodnight, & good luck to you all" 13.10.1940
If your child is starting in the nursery school class, or is already a member, we invite you to join us on Tuesday 6th September to meet with the class teaching team. We'll have some fun activities to share, nibbles and of course will be available for catch up chats. #Transition
As part of our project ‘Are pirates bad people?’ We have also been exploring the oceans. This week we have been bringing our pictures to life using augmented reality. What an amazing way to encourage mark making! #markmaking#QuiverVision#EYFS#ExpressiveArtsandDesign#AR
We are absolutely delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted for ‘EYFS Setting of the year’ at the prestigious @tes 2022 School Awards. Our whole team is absolutely over the moon, it hasn’t quite sunk in yet 😊
We recently asked our parents to tell us their thoughts about our nursery school and why they chose Brougham Street Nursery School for their children. They were to good not to share. https://t.co/i5BwVmQ6Kj #EYFS#Testimonials
Thank you very much to Danielle Fox (Head of Department - Animal Studies, @cravencollege ) who brought some special, reptilian friends to visit nursery school today to support our project ‘Is there such a thing as a Gruffalo’? It was amazing!
Yesterday was our fabulous Christmas party. We had dancing, party food, party games and of course a special message from Father Christmas and Teiqs the elf.
