@A_GymGuy@vecchio_uomo Completely confident he’d have won the league.
In fact I suspect he may have finished the season stronger due to more rotation and added a second trophy.
@PhilBrownFTFC@BladeoftheS I agree with this. I won’t lie about 70s public services to make a political point
But I also think private capital ownership hasn’t fixed performance & has definitely increased real terms cost
Both things can be possible. Maybe the funding model isnt always the only variable?
@spudgun01@grlfc58@BladeoftheS That didn’t work though
More public money spent on water AND higher bills now
The privatisation of water hasn’t brought progress that was anticipated by Mrs Thatcher’s government
I won’t pretend public services were great in the 70s but privatisation added cost & not delivered
@S4LAHHH@LFCKenn@SeanDOlfc Yep
I recognise it will sound like sour grapes &, tbh, if we’d have won our first title since 1990 playing that way I probably would’ve thought what Arsenal fans will.
But I’ve seen Klopp’s high tempo, high risk, high reward football & I can’t unsee it 🤷♂️
@S4LAHHH@LFCKenn@SeanDOlfc Totally agree - we’re painful to watch and ineffective. In truth we’ve had it great for most of the last 10 years with exciting, aesthetic and effective football.
Arsenal are equally painful & turgid to watch, but they do manage to win a lot of games.
Hey White House, please remove the Tropic Thunder clip. We never gave you permission and have no interest in being a part of your propaganda machine. War is not a movie.
@Gazwarrington There’s too much weight given to the on field
decision on the altar of “not re-refereeing games”
That’s more of a pen than the one given against us on Nunes as there was contact on both but a chance Haaland gets to the ball.
@bbarrymurphy@Cantona_Collars@TheForgetfulDM Wirtz was slaughtered all the 1st 1/2 of the season mate. Then he picked up his form, got player of the month, it goes away
We don’t hear what’s said about other clubs’ players as loudly, but he’s come in for a lot of criticism
Like Sesko he’s young, in a new league, needs time
@bbarrymurphy@Cantona_Collars@TheForgetfulDM Both played similar numbers of games. Sesko scored a couple more. Wirtz has 5 more assists
As you’d expect for 2 very different players with different roles
Neither has been exceptional, both increasingly look like they’ll be good players
Isak is the one you should talk about
