These aren’t great days for expecting people to put their best foot forward. Chronic instability on multiple fronts, seems to me any foot forward is a feat. A broken foot forward is a marvel. It’s all a lot of people can do right now just to stand up. Compassion can save lives.

Eating lunch @GalvestonIsland with my fam & the server comes up to us & says “I have a customer who wants to buy your kids a pastry. What would they like?” I then saw her doing this w/ all the kids in the cafe. Apparently this guy buys every kid a pastry every time he eats there.
