@buttysbets I'd much rather he knew the league, he was here for a short time so not sure it's that relevant. Hopefully we can add some experience in a DOF who can help guide him and Damian Allen.
@StatthewMambach@aimee22487@_SByrne They certainly played well 1st time at EP, we often played very direct ourselves under DC, not that i think that was our strength. I think id be less concerned if Wilson was still here, id like to think we are going to be looking at some experience further up to assist JM and DA.
@_SByrne This feels like a big gamble and he wasn't who I wanted, he will of course get my 100% backing as and when its announced but it feels like we're gonna need some experience next to him, NL and League 1 standard is not close, a director of football is probably needed more than ever
@StatthewMambach@aimee22487@_SByrne Revell wouldve been a fantastic choice, yes stevenage were a hard watch but with better technical players there is no reason he wouldnt have got us playing good football and he knows the league, stevenage were also very well drilled and ran through brick walls for him.
@_SByrne@robreckless81 Why is mcnulty the number 1 target? I mean he could be amazing and I'm aware of the finance rules which can rule out wellens and cleverly but why specifically him? What is it about him that its felt he has earned this role? Why not look for experience to steady the transition?
@JLDzierzenga@LeagueOne25 His experience is in the national league and 1 very good season doesnt make him ready for this job yet. This next period is a big one for the club our continuity has been removed and for me an experienced head is needed to steady the ship and build on the foundations that we have
@pterinochilus_@LeagueOne25 Of course they are but its about calculated risk, the club is going through the biggest transition since jim left we have an inexperienced sporting director a squad that needs quality adding, an inexperienced manager seems very risky. I hope I'm wrong and get to eat humble pie
@pterinochilus_@LeagueOne25 I dont know the full finance stuff but I'm glad we agree its a punt but it doesnt seem a sensible one to me, we've not been in the gambling business since rusk left.
@Feeney1992x@LeagueOne25 Im sure you are, hes a had a big season and could go on to be a top manager, but we are in a transition period and we need settling down, appointing an inexperienced manager is a gamble we really dont need to take, we need experience of the level.
@pterinochilus_@LeagueOne25 Mcnulty has not managed at this level, challinor earned the right by taking us up, we need experience not unproven, the ship has been rocked and this would be a huge gamble, We dont need to gamble. I see nothing that suggests he should be anywhere near us yet. Hopefully I'm wrong
@Feeney1992x@LeagueOne25 Exactly, we were NL and he'd been promoted out of it, mcnulty may well have a huge managerial career ahead of him that doesnt mean he should be considered for this position, he should stay at Dale and show a bit of loyalty to those who gave him a chance and build a reputation
@pterinochilus_@LeagueOne25 Rusk, no experience of the level and was a poor appointment. Look i hope I'm wrong but with where we are and where hes coming from there is a huge gap in quality, we need experience at this point and the fans need a lift, this doesn't feel like it.
