https://t.co/LsoxkJn8B5 This concept changed my investment life almost 30 years ago. This particular article was written in August of 2015. Take special note of the thoughts on 2020.
“History does not repeat itself but it does rhyme”
@JosiahForYeshua Answer to CCG’s question: Because Ephraim is blessed by Jacob to become a me’lo’ goy in Genesis 48:19
Look it up and do the word study.
@JosiahForYeshua Isaiah had something to say about this when he spoke of his peaceable kingdom.
“Then the jealousy of Ephraim will depart, And those who harass Judah will be cut off; Ephraim will not be jealous of Judah, And Judah will not harass Ephraim.” Isaiah 11:13
Why are we fighting?
@JosiahForYeshua 10:10 will shake things up
“I will bring them back from the land of Egypt And gather them from Assyria; And I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon until no room can be found for them
@JamesDelotis@mmamasaidd That is interesting and may explain the failures of David and Solomon. They likely missed these tooTrumpets is a warning about relationships and Atonement is a humbling of self to the creator. Wealthy humans need these checks on their appetites to remain stable amidst abundance.
@billsweet@tylercowen@ezraklein Cowen ends with a warning about danger. The danger he is referring to is best dealt with via honest religion. Involving charity, forgiveness, and confession.
A renewal in these would go along way toward healing our nation
@jasonstaples As a member of the general public neither of these stories were on my radar. I think I remember something about Fryer a decade ago but it’s foggy. Thanks for pointing them out.
Let justice roll down!
@NicholasOShaug1 This is the story of what happened to my grandfather’s division in WW1.
Obviously he survived.
However he was not a believer in military glory. As a result of his experience.
@casa_valera Exactly:
The idea of rebuilding David’s Tent in verse 11 is a powerful image.
Remember Uriah the Hittite was one of David’s most loyal warriors.
David’s kingdom was all twelve tribes and those of good will from the nations who joined.
James is harking back to David’s era.
@julie_kelly2 It’s important to know that in 1776 Adams was thought of as the voice of independence since he argued most powerfully for the Declaration of Independence.
Jefferson was known as the pen since he wrote it. In their contemporaries eyes they were always linked to the Declaration.
@julie_kelly2 A great American story!
Today, almost no one knows it or the effect it had on the nation.
200 years ago the whole nation saw their natural deaths on July 4, fifty years to the day as the hand of God.
Thanks for bringing it up today. It’s a great thought for this important day!
@ATeachMoment@billsweet Knox and his men’s feat was amazing!
Leading to one of the great “No Battles“
in history.
The British looked up and said “Nope” and promptly left Boston.
There has to be a modern lesson in that event.
Happy Fourth of July!
Celebrating 250 years from the Keystone State. Where it all began at Independence Hall. “ We hold these truths to be self evident that all men are created equal”
Renewed in blood 87 years later at Gettysburg.
Be humble America, God shed his grace on thee!
@NJBeisner BTW these are Academic level if you want the truth you will need to put in some serious effort to comprehend Dr Staples’ work.
The reward will be well worth the price.
@jasonstaples Not surprised. Those who hate this truth have few choices.
1 Ignore it.
2. Twist it and argue a false premise.
It’s all they have.
You covered your bases so well the silence has been deafening.
Someone has finally tried number 2
Have you given thought to why it is this way?
