The most likely landing spot for Alex Cora is the #Phillies due to the fact Dave Dombrowski and Alex won that 2018 World Championship together and both have promoted the other as future Hall of Famers. The mutual respect is special. However its more likely for 2027 then now.
Former Phillies Pitcher Brad Lidge may be best known for securing the final out of the 2008 World Series. But he retired from Major League Baseball in 2012 and now has a new career as an archaeologist.

You know it’s bad when having the worst record in baseball isn’t the most damning stat. The Phillies have the worst run differential in baseball by over 25. They haven’t just been the worst team, they’ve been the worst team by a massive margin
Phillies manager Rob Thomson addressed the hot seat and the potential for changes, while Dave Dombrowski declined to address speculation about Alex Cora. https://t.co/SXj3gGtMwz
I doubt John Middleton is just sitting back and allowing Dombrowski to decide what happens with Thomson etc. This is a big decision and moving on from Dombrowski should be a strong consideration
Everything is on the table right now for the 9-19 Phillies. It’s why Dave Dombrowski had three of his lieutenants around the team in Atlanta asking questions. The manager isn’t dumb. These are heavy times: https://t.co/TvrOcf1KE1
"The hitting is atrocious. The starting pitching is worse. And the bullpen is just all over the place... You want me to come on here and be positive and tell you everything's gonna be fine?..."
- Ricky Bottalico on the Phillies postgame
I really don’t like to say much but at this time I think the Phillies need a new hitting coach with a different approach because a lot of the young kids stopped improving and some of the others aren’t taking to what approach to use.
