Twelve years ago today, Corporal Nathan Cirillo was killed while standing sentry at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Several others were injured.
Two days earlier, in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Québec, Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent was killed in a separate attack.
The attacks of October 2014 left a lasting mark on our country, but they did not change who we are.

Building Ontario starts with the women and men of the building trades. Honoured to speak at the 69th annual Ontario Building Trades Convention today.
Every home, every hospital, every bridge starts with a tradesperson. Our job is to make sure they have the training, the good jobs and the backing to keep building. That's why we are investing in Team Canada Strong and putting more than $430 million over five years into the Union Training and Innovation Program, so union training centres can expand, modernize and train more workers.
Great to be joined by MP Bruce Fanjoy. Glad to see Premier Doug Ford, Minister David Piccini and Mayor Mark Sutcliffe in the room.
From Windsor to Thunder Bay to Ottawa, we are building Ontario strong. 🛠️🇨🇦

@CanadasNAC@IanDBruce@PatrickBWeiler Our partners had a great conversation with @brucefanjoy about how Canada can turn its electricity advantage into new opportunities for workers, businesses and communities.
@PierrePoilievre Why don't you prove to Canada that you can be trusted by simply getting your security clearance?
Nobody is forcing you to take any briefing. So your "reason" for not getting it doesn't hold up.
What's stopping you, @PierrePoilievre?

WATCH: “I hope this session of Parliament, Mr. Speaker, we won’t see this pattern re-emerge - call it the ‘blame Canada pattern,’ the ‘hissy-fit brigade.’ We are in a trade war. We did not provoke this trade war.” - @StevenMacKinnon

There is no place for hate in Canada.🇨🇦
I stand with the Jewish community in Belleville, Ontario, and across the country following the shooting outside the capital Sons of Jacob synagogue, as people gathered to observe Yom Kippur.
Jewish Canadians have the right to gather, worship and live their lives safely and without fear.
My thoughts are with the police officer who was shot, their loved ones, and the first responders who acted to keep people safe.
To our Jewish friends and family here in Manitoba we stand with you.
Mark Carney: "We are bound by an affinity, elective, chosen, renewed, and stronger for being so. Today, our societies are being battered by new storms. ... A single tree will come down in it. A forest will not."
🏳️🌈 @brucefanjoy@liberal_party@parti_liberal
