KAVINDELE Pushes for Single Seven-Year Presidency

Former Vice President ENOCK KAVINDELE has proposed a one-off, seven-year, non-renewable presidential term of office for the Head of State.

Presenting his submission to the Technical Committee on Constitutional Amendments in Lusaka today, Mr. KAVINDELE stated that such a term would accelerate the delivery of development to the people and instil in the President a sense of urgency to act decisively.

CHABINGA CLOSES PF SECRETARIAT, BLOCKS PLANNED CONVENTION

As Acting President, Mr. Chabinga confirmed that he has obtained a court order to close the PF Secretariat in Lusaka with immediate effect and until further notice.

He has declared that no PF convention will take place.
