@TiceRichard Calling imports an “electricity shortage” is nonsense Dickie.
Interconnectors are designed to let Britain buy cheaper power when it suits us, & sell power back when we have surplus.
In Q1, UK electricity exports actually rose 45% while net imports fell 21%.
@TiceRichard Weapons grade nonsense. If you genuinely think this you should never be an energy spokesperson for any politics party and if you don’t your lying with motive
We had 65% spare gas generation capacity available today with reactors down for maintenance
There was no shortage
More spending. No real plan. Remember Thatcher, who you and Farage supported, sold off the water companies having cleared their debt. It was the water companies responsibility to build reservoirs. They didn't but ran up £Bns in debt and handed out £Bns in dividends...ffs!!
There will be NO MORE hosepipe bans under Reform.
We only have them because we’ve been governed by fools.
Singapore is a small, crowded island with only tiny rivers to speak of.
It hasn’t rationed water since 1964.
Saudi Arabia and the UAE are deserts.
No hosepipe bans.
Britain, famous for rain, has had Tory and Labour governments who have not built a major reservoir in 34 years.
The population has grown by 10 million since they built a reservoir.
So they tell you to stop watering your garden.
Meanwhile housebuilding in Cambridgeshire is on hold because there isn’t enough water to connect the taps.
They are making us a third world country.
Reform will make reservoirs nationally significant infrastructure to unblock planning.
We will build reservoirs faster than any time in history.
We will fast-track and build desalination plants.
We will ensure a lack of water is NEVER a constraint in Britain. 🇬🇧
@ZiaYusufUK If U hadn't noticed Zia , all the Water Companies are PLCs since Maggie's Era.
So shouldn't the Responsibility fall with them to Build all these New Reservoirs not the Taxpayer.
Last I checked they'd paid out £65 Bn in dividends without even attempting to build a new Reservoir.
It was the Tories who privatised our water — you used to support the Tories, and most of your party is made up of Tories.
Updating our water network is a noble aim, but how are you going to pay for that? Also, it will take time, so if you don't implement measures to conserve water when needed, you will run out, and then we'll be rationed through standpipes. You really are an idiot!
Another uninformed disingenuous post by neanderthal Anderson. He conveniently forgets the Starmer Govt's funding for pot holes to local Govt and the fact that a significant % of 100k pot holes were filled in before Reform...
The Reform Way
Reform led Nottinghamshire County Council have now repaired 100,000 potholes.
Thousands more are scheduled to be filled in the current resurfacing program.
There has been a record breaking £257,000,000 invested into the roads since we were elected.
The largest road repair investment of any County Council in Britain.
Reform led Nottinghamshire County Council are leading the way to ensure the roads are fit for purpose for years to come.
Reform UK are making your roads safer with preventative works, along with essential works.
Reform UK in Nottinghamshire will continue to smash road repair records and we won't stop until the job is done.
We made a promise to fix our roads after decades of neglect and we are delivering on our promise.

@policylaila Was this an undeclared election expense? Who was invited? Was this payment for canvassing? Were constituents who voted for Reform invited?
Marco Rubio 2 days ago: “Imagine if Iran funded the well-being of its people, rather than its military
Trump today: “We can’t fund daycare or Medicaid, we need more money for our military”
Sometimes the jokes write themselves.
Congratulations to Nigel for beating a bin, although nearly 10,000 people voted for the bin, in the election he called against himself, to avoid an investigation that will now resume. This is not exactly PM material.
I remember when Rees-Mogg suddenly changed the rules at the very last minute to protect his mate Owen Patterson. It didn’t end well. The code of conduct is there for a reason
@LeeAndersonMP_ "FILLING" potholes does NOT mean that the roads are for for purpose you imbecile
They are STOP GAP measures
As soon as the frosts come they will be falling apart again
But how have Notts CC invested £257m since elected when the entire budget for 2026/2027 is £181.25m?
This letter, sent to a Reform volunteer ahead of the Clacton by-election, was posted with a first-class stamp, meaning it went out through the mail in advance of polling day itself.
In it, Farage tells the volunteer he'll be watching the results come in at Great Oakley Airfield, with doors open at 11pm, and will "speak from the main stage once the result is declared."
That's not a contingency. That's the stated plan, in writing, before a vote was cast.
Days later, Reform told the press Farage was skipping the official declaration because Essex Police had advised him not to attend over a "credible threat." Essex Police say they gave no such advice to him or any candidate.
Whatever the explanation offered afterward, the letter shows where he actually planned to be all along. Not attending the count wasn't a last-minute security decision. It was the itinerary. Farage is a fucking liar.
@policylaila Who paid for this Reform party? Who was invited? Was this an inducement for Clacton voters to vote Reform? Was this a gift for those who travelled to canvass for Reform? If so, could this be considered an election expense?
@dave43law Presumably crypto money or, possibly, 'honest' George. Take your pick it all stinks to high heaven. Was this party the thank you to all his helpers? Is this what a Reform Ltd Govt would be, parties/treats for helpers and f-k the mugs who voted for him.
Lucy Connolly out here claiming taxpayer didn’t pay for the Clacton by-election and that Reform did is proper thick-as-pigshit levels of stupidity.
The Government literally told Reform to fuck off when they offered to cover it because it’s illegal for a party to fund the election. Taxpayer still paid every penny, you braindead melt.
No wonder she did bird, she can’t open her mouth without talking pure bollocks and still somehow thinks she’s the authority. Gullible cunts who follow her deserve each other.
🚩 ‼️ This is the real story from Clacton.
Nigel Farage has gone from insisting the £5 million gift did not need declaring to:
“Maybe I haven’t filled in a piece of paper.”
£5 MILLION!!!
Not a forgotten lunch. Not a bottle of wine. Not an administrative oversight involving a few quid.
A £5m gift from crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne, received before Farage became an MP, while Harborne’s interests and Farage’s subsequent advocacy of crypto are now under intense scrutiny.
Winning an uncontested-by-the-major-parties by-election doesn’t make those questions disappear.
If anything, the scrutiny is only beginning.
