When I was invited to NDA for a lecture, following two traditions were relaxed.

1. I delivered talk in games rig in the Habibulla hall. Never happened before and after that.

2. My talk was deliberately kept on the evening prior to the X country day. That evening is always kept free for cadets to rest well before the run.

Unprecedented, but I made sure that it happen. As a DE (direct entry from IMA), it was something unimaginable, even for me but when I get invited to deliver, I don't compromise & I don't allow anyone else also to interfere. For me giving my best is more important than pleasing the bosses.

NDA was seeing unprecedented withdrawals. News paper reports were talking about harsh training, especially unofficial part. So, it was important to:

1. Have the best visible impact
2. Let the cadets understand the depth of hardships and why it's important.

For cadets, lecture hall is a place to sleep. But I got so many messages from cadets that no one blinked the eye & many improved their timings in the X country next day.
