Welcome to Sans Souci Speakers Club (Solihull).
It’s a social club, it’s a hobby, it’s a testing ground for the young professional and yes… we teach public speaking and presentation skills. https://t.co/Uy47yJCHpw
Wow! How fantastic to finally be able to meet in person
A socially distanced and small but enthusiastic audience
Proposed new venue was very successful as well as the speaking prowess on display
Roll on regular meetings from September

As an exercise, I would practice reading your speech out loud. Pause for one second at a comma, two seconds at the end of a sentence, and three seconds after a paragraph. This is to develop the habit of pausing in your talk in the right places. Then breathe and smile!

Remember that your last words linger. Never introduce a new idea at the end of your presentation. Use your last words to reinforce a key, pithy point from your presentation.

Another good meeting this evening, a bit down on numbers, but enjoyable & stimulating nonetheless 👌
Bank Holiday Monday, planning disasters & treatments for leprosy plus a wide variety of topics ending in ING kept us fully entertained all evening 😀
See you in two weeks time? 🤞
Senseless, mindless attack on many of the historic buildings at @AvoncroftMuseum in Bromsgrove last night. Thousands of pounds of damaged caused and historic items destroyed. The museum had only reopened yesterday for the first time since last November. More on @bbcmtd tonight.
Short and Sweet: Mastering Quick Presentations
How to compress your speech without losing impact:
1. Don't apologize or mention that you usually have much more time.
2. Begin fast.
3. Use a strongly visual story.
4. Divide your five minutes into three parts.

Use video to evaluate your speaking. Get honest feedback from others. Identify what’s already working and reinforce what you do well naturally with technique.
