Who Constructed the Foundations of the Modern World?
The following achievements were realized almost exclusively within the past 400 years by an extraordinarily narrow demographic cohort — predominantly individuals of European and East Asian ancestry:
- Vaccines that eradicated poliomyelitis
- Semiconductor chips powering contemporary smartphones
- Transoceanic aircraft capable of 8-hour continental transit
- Electrical grids exhibiting near-100 % uptime
- The James Webb Space Telescope, which observes the universe as it existed 13 billion years ago

As of 2025, 80–90 % of new patents and Nobel Prizes in physics, chemistry, and medicine continue to originate from these same geographic and population clusters. This distribution is not stochastic;
it represents the cumulative outcome of centuries of rigorous education, cultural emphasis on meritocratic achievement, and institutional structures that systematically rewarded cognitive performance.
