@scitechgirl "hypothetical wormholes" and "simply an engineering problem"... Yeah make everyone think it is the engineer's job to figure it out now. This is why engineers and physicists don't get along.
@radioactivered Normally ionizing radiation increases atmospheric conductivity resulting in a greater amount of noise on the signal. Maybe it was acting as an additional antenna element? Sources can be used with vacuum tubes for improved gain.
@stats_feed I have known people with Down syndrome. They are people and often more productive than many of the "normal" people I've met. The 60% if you who think murdering them in the womb are monsters.
@defense_civil25 Night vision goggles... That is much older technology. The vampire scope was used back during WWII (photomultiplayer tube dates to 1934 and has a clear technology lineage).
@ChinaUncensored The Soviet Union made a lot of false claims to undermine others like China is doing now. The key thing is to ensure people understand this and any claims/research from China is considered of the lowest quality.
@radioactivered The main issue with the KFM is some of the specific materials are difficult to find anymore (in the past they were common). But:
The can is the same diameter as a soda can.
Heavy duty aluminum foil can be used, but you need fewer layers.
Dental floss -> fishing line.
@radioactivered@red_relics@MoundLore The scale is hard to judge (the wide-angle messes with everything), but I would guess 4-5" long. It almost looks like there is a flute for the first inch. So my first guess would be Clovis. Could also be a Dalton guessing from the shape.
