We look forward to continuing to have a great working relationship with Ciudad Acuña and I wish Alcalde Emilio De Hoyos the best in his administration. I will continue to support our sister city initiatives for the betterment of our communities.
On April 11, 2022, Assistant to the City Manager Michael Garcia and I met with Alcalde Emilio De Hoyos and his team in Ciudad Acuña. We held our first monthly meeting with the new administration and continued our discussions on economic development, tourism, & quality of life.
An update: I was given an opportunity to update @SecMayorkas this morning on the dire situation at the border. I’m grateful to receive an immediate plan of action. Working alongside @USBPChief has been instrumental in reducing the migrant population.
The VP is able to visit the fun events across the country, while American communities continue to grapple with failed immigration reform. Where is the visit to Del Rio, TX? @potus@cnn@FoxNews@USATODAY@GovAbbott@CBSNews@NBCNews
My plan is very clear: we will not raise taxes on anyone making under $400,000 a year.
It’s only corporations and people making over $400,000 a year who will see their taxes go up.
@POTUS Where is your plan to protect American communities at the southern border? I spoke to Governor Abbott today. We have developed a temporary plan, we’d like to see yours. @GovAbbott
Today’s photos taken at 3pm. Ever changing dynamics. Thank you @USBPChief for your efforts in providing additional logistical support to the Del Rio Sector. Thank you @GovAbbott for sending additional state resources. @POTUS44 where are you?
Good evening from Del Río, TX. 10,503 (as of 6:45pm, September 16, 2021) migrants under the Del Río International Bridge. This morning we started at 8,200. President Biden, have you been briefed on the ongoing crisis yet? @POTUS@VP@WhiteHouse@DHSgov@cnnbrk@FoxNews@ABC
PROGRESS UPDATE: This is great news, but does come with some restrictions. Please do your part to conserve as much energy as possible when you do obtain power again.
