We are delighted that our Director of Studies, Mark Deketelaere, will be introducing Dan Snow at this year’s @CVHISTORYFEST this Sunday at 5:30pm.
Bryanston School is proud to sponsor Dan’s inspiring talk, Antarctica: Discovering the Endurance.
Another fantastic trip to the Chalke Valley History Festival. Some really interesting talks and a chance to watch Tim Bouverie, an OB, discuss Chamberlain’s policy of appeasement.
An absolute pleasure to talk to 100 pupils of @BryanstonSchool Upper 6th about the amazing history and work of the @CWGC , and to especially to highlight some of the Old Bryanstonians we commemorate.
The 1st of 3 talks for me over the next week. #LestWeForget#Remembranceis
A lovely evening taking students for a guided tour of Hambledon Hill and it’s prehistoric past. You can’t beat stunning views, hot chocolate, freshly cooked cookies and some incredible stories of how our ancestors lived.
Today, like Babur sweeping down from Kabul onto Delhi, we range far & wide, exploring the history of AFGHANISTAN. From Alexander the Great to the Great Game, and from the Bactrians to Joe Biden...

So nice to be able to take some A3 students to the Chalke Valley History Festival. Fascinating talks, great weather and lots and lots to see. We can’t wait to return with more students next year!
The 2021 dig has finished. The team has found clear evidence of the early house as well as a penchant for brown source amongst the early inhabitants! A fantastic introduction to archeology.
Students in the P & P society were asked to have a go at the following quiz https://t.co/cx08d3Dm8z The results raised important questions over how well we understand the world and why misconceptions have developed over time. What’s your score?
A thought provoking article which helped shape our discussion of events in Washington during the Past and Present ECA this week. It reinforced the importance, as well as the dangers of making parallels with the past.

Listening to Desert Island Discs is a great way of widening one's perspectives. It was great to listen to David Olusoga's love and passion for history, the way that he has shone a spotlight on neglected areas of our past as well as the challenges he faced growing up.@DavidOlusoga
