But I won't back down
No, I'll stand my ground
Won't be turned around
And I'll keep this world from draggin' me down
Gonna stand my ground
And I won't back down
hey, baby
There ain't no easy way out
Hey, I will stand my ground
And I won't back down

Kansas City, as always, stepped up for a great cause last night at the dinner and today at the golf classic! Lou was smiling from the big locker room in the sky! ❤️KC!
Frank inspired so many of us w/ his play on the field as a cornerstone of the ‘88 team. He’s now fighting a horrific disease w/ that same intensity, courage & passion. Cancer picked the wrong opponent. We stand in front of, beside & behind you Frank.💙🙏🏼💛 https://t.co/tJV5gH5EDH
Even during his final days in hospice care Notre Dame’s Lou Holtz asked visitors, “What can I do for you?”
“What we all need to take away from this funeral and Lou Holtz today is the lesson to care more about doing for others than you do for yourself.” — Skip Holtz, Lou’s son

A most dynamic duo! Coach & his National Champion quarterback are tied at the hip for life. To know Tony’s journey from Woodruff, SC (pop. 5,072) is to love, admire & respect the man.
These pieces are brilliant @timprister! Thank you!!

This is Pure Gold. I had the pleasure of spending time with Coach Holtz. I wanted to hear him explain his Three Rules for Life! 1) Do what’s right - trust. 2) Do everything to the best of your ability- commitment. 3) Show people you care - love. It’s pretty simple. He goes on to highlight why the transfer portal is ruining college football. The kids are losing out on the life lessons learned- how to persevere, how to be committed to a program and a group of people. You miss out on the bonds you create over 4 years. If you leave, you still have the problem, you are changing the address. These are words to live by.
