@ashleyxoxv Hey, I also want to apologize for not realizing that you're on your Biblical journey and that you're still learning how to navigate all of this. I'm sorry for my lack of empathy and I will continue to pray that Christ grows you and guides you in this journey π @ashleyxoxv
@mmaccarronnss@ashleyxoxv The Apostle Paul was speaking figuratively. He is using the example of a dad and his children, since they converted to Christianity through his preaching. The fact that Paul called them his children shows he cares for them spiritually. Paul even says, "In Christ Jesus"
@mmaccarronnss@ashleyxoxv Those are 2 totally different situations. When Jesus says that, He is talking about hypocrisy which leads him to say in verse 5, "You hypocrite, take the plank out of your own eye...."
Paul however, is talking about church discipline.
Learn to read the Bible in context.
@mmaccarronnss@ashleyxoxv Yes, this is for our own good as well, because if we do so, they're going to drag us along with them. The Apostle Paul is saying this as a loving protector of the sheep to protect them from sinful hypocrites.
@ashleyxoxv Oh, wow. I just saw this reply from you. And listen, I guess I misspoke. I'm sorry. I guess, I just don't want you going down any rabbit holes that are going to keep you away from the message of the text, you know? But didn't mean to offend, pardon my poor choice of words.
@ashleyxoxv Of course Ashley :)
But please, whenever you have time, please watch those videos I sent you of Wes Huff & Mike Winger. I think they can help you with the whole Missing Bible Verses thing. It would be great if you do. They're not long, but insightful π @ashleyxoxv
@ashleyxoxv I also sent you a link of Mike Winger, a Christian Apologist on YouTube explaining missing verses in the Gospe of Mark. Hope it helps you somewhat. His YouTube Channel has helped me a lot. Check some of his videos out as well. He has Q&A videos as well @ashleyxoxv
@ashleyxoxv That's also something I questioned and doubted. But even if those verses are missing, they don't change the main point that the author is trying to convey in the text. The Bibles were not changed or anything like that.
This is Mike Winger, A Christian Apologist also explaining Missing Bible verses in the Gospel of Mark. Hope this helps you. Look into his YouTube channel, he has good videos there. He helped me a lot in some areas of the Bible. @ashleyxoxv https://t.co/Z5HfROoDPt
@ashleyxoxv Well when you look at that verse Ashley the foot note days that some manuscripts include it. That verse is from newer manuscripts, and is missing from the older and more reliable Greek manuscripts.
