MJF is smart enough to know he is still the top guy in the company. He knows that in this situation Ospreay and Omega is a fresher bigger match at this moment in time

That being said there is not 1 single reason you can mention that will tell me it is a decision not worth making.

Being off tv for 2 months and winning the World Title the first night back is the issue and why he is rightfully being ridiculed for it. Age only matters if you are clearly washed and in the Main Event

@JC_G_Sanchez @takesbytom I dont think most care about age if you can still perform at a Main Event level. What people were rightly outraged about is being off tv for months and then winning the top title the first match back. I dont care who it is that is a questionable decision.

@takesbytom I love CM Punk but absolutely not. Kenny Omega is the best pro wrestler I have ever seen. Not because of anyone elses opinion but my own. When Omega was in his prime the matches he put on were levels beyond any CM Punk match. Omega is a far more unlimited athlete

@execution84 I dont have any issue with age if you can still perform at a Main Event level which Punk clearly can. However IMO Nobody should disappear for months and then just walk back on TV and win the Top title. I dont care who you are. Kenny winning was built to. Punk wasnt

@Buckeye937B Its absolutely ridiculous. MJF is gonna have way more world titles and main events long after Kenny Omega has been retired. Kenny Omega put MJF over twice. MJF is a made man. Still the top guy. These people seem to not think he is capable of being as important w/o the title.

@Fightful MJF is fantastic. Love him and make no mistake he is still the top guy and will always be in the marquee in any big show he is on. For me his real test begins now. Can he be as important without being champion. I believe he can. The top guy does not always need to be Champion

@jimmykorderas To me this such a conditioning of the fans from over the years. I love MJF and make no mistake he is still the top guy in AEW. The top guy DOES NOT always need to be the Champion. MJF will still be in the Marquee no matter what he does. Its on him now to elevate w/o the title.

@CollinTalks4 @JDfromNY206 That is a condition of fans over the years. No it wont. If MJF is what everyone says he is and I believe he is too. The the real test is what he can do without a title. I look at this as Tony Khan tempering MJF from the Charlotte Rhodes label. Cant ever do anything w/o a title
