Congratulations to the @THSCAcoaches Academic All-State Recipients.
A HUGE congratulations to Ian Meyer and Max Newberg for being chosen to the Elite Team! There are only 33 Elite Team members in 6A in the great state of Texas.

Al Newberg died three weeks ago. I wouldn't be anything without him—including a sports writer, or a sports fan. @NewbergReport

@NewbergReport Just outstanding stuff Jamey. As Robert Earl Keen sang in The Front Porch Song, “remembering the coming back, not crying 'bout the leaving”.

Always remember the coming backs. That’s the gold.

A district win; we celebrated @BaseballKeepers; family was here to celebrate. We checked a bunch of boxes last night

Thank you to all the current and past players and coaches that have a piece of this. Excited for more!

Good luck to @jjphsbaseball tonight against Marcus. Special shout-out to @LukeMit02 where the stage is never too big or the stakes never too high. Even when down to the last strike of the game and deliver a hit to tie it. Cool as ice every time. So proud of you. Now, LFG!!!!

JJ Pearce baseball earns its first outright District title in more than 40 years. @jjphsbaseball

[Jamey Newberg @NewbergReport]

The years I’ve been lucky enough to write about baseball coincide almost perfectly with the years I‘ve been lucky enough to be a dad. Which is why, for me, spring training is as much about family as it is about baseball.

At its peak, it’s about both.

[Houston Astros @astros]

The Houston Astros are headed to the World Series. 🤘

[Bryan Mitchell @BryanMitchell]

Is this good? Thanks @Dodgers for this special player. #WorldSeries

[ESPN Insights @ESPNInsights]

Yordan Alvarez had 7 hits over the final 2 games of the ALCS.

The entire Red Sox team had 5.

He's the first human, ever, to out-hit the entire opposing team over the final 2 games of any series in MLB postseason history.

[Bryan Mitchell @BryanMitchell]

4 more. #ForTheH

A few minutes before Game 6, LMJ is announced as throwing the first pitch. Collin McHugh runs out to catch it. Pitch is made. Both players meet halfway, smile for the camera, and they're both wearing #WORLDSERIESGRILLZ furnished by @paulwallbaby. Make it happen, @astros!
