I was happy to join my fellow @FIU alum and Council colleague, Luis E. Collazo, and former classmate @BryanMorera in welcoming @FIUPresident to Town Hall. We headed up to my office to pose with my FIU flag, which is now hanging on the dais for the duration of the meeting! #PawsUp
If you’re a fan of the NFL you want the #USFL & #XFL to be successful. All the negative jokes about attendance or “bad football” is played out. I love 2nd chances 💯
New tonight: Miami Lakes @MayorMannyCid says town, Hialeah, Miami-Dade County are headed back to litigation over closed bridges. Cid said Friday a tentative deal was reached; tonight, council members and residents expressed reservations. https://t.co/gq7QOpBD6D
The Town of Miami Lakes has scheduled a community meeting about the closed bridges and @MiamiDadeCounty and @cityofhialeah's efforts to open them...the meeting will not be live-streamed, the town said.
Big decision by the Appellate Court today regarding the NW 170th Street Bridge. Click the attached link to see what this means for the NW 154th Street Bridge and sign the petition to keep it closed!
Help us reach 5,000 signatures!

@JoseDASHferrer Thank you so much for sharing my petition. We need to do this for Jakey and for all the Miami Lakers he inspired who will suffer if that bridge opens.
I need everyone in the #CaneGang to help us with this petition. My little cousin passed away a year ago from DIPG. Miami Lakes was nice enough to build a park near his home in his honor. Now the city of Hialeah wants to tear it down for a bridge.
So Jose "Pepe" Diaz was actually one of the main proponents and negotiators of the interlocal agreement to close the NW 154th Street Bridge he now seeks to breach.... totally not a bait-and-switch. @doug_hanks@newschica have you guys picked up this?
@TheMiamiLaker@LindaTrischitta also, there's this great video of Former Hialeah Mayor Raul Martinez calling out the absurdity of this proposal: https://t.co/S3jjOQncwV
@TheMiamiLaker@LindaTrischitta Thanks for covering the story of Jose "Pepe" Diaz's proposal to open the 154th Street Bridge. Miami Lakers stand firmly united against this resolution and against opening the bridge. I would ask that you share our petition: https://t.co/pxZbxQXqfJ
Hey @MiamiDadePD, today you dispatched your chopper to Satori in Miami Lakes regarding a kayaker that had fallen in our large lake. Just wanted to say thank you on behalf of our community for the over the top and quick response. Nice knowing you’re there for us! #MDPD
@intricate119 Welp, nevermind, just realized her username, Gusano-Despiser is anti-freedom. "Gusanos" are what the communists call anti-communists like my father and grandfather; and she's saying she despises them. Wow.
@intricate119 I'm confused, are you sure she is calling for the protestors to be massacred? In Cuba, the "revolutionaries" are the communists that currently control the gov. The protesters are "counter-revolutionaries." I know it's backwards, but that's how they describe it on the island.
Wow! 🚀 Colonel Mike Hopkins (Illinois, Beta Eta ‘88) kicked off our Chapter Executives Conference from the International Space Station! #PiKappaAlpha#PIKEU
