This time, the better choice is to ignore his pathetic ploy for negative attention. We're a great nation. We can celebrate OUR birthday in joy and together. If one kid wants to sulk off and grouse about how he doesn't really like us anyway, then leave him to his misery.
Compensating accusers is a risky business, but let's not be blind to the fact that it is a practice that the accused also to silence the primary source making allegations when repeated denials won't end the story.
So, believe all non-Republican women? Come on. Seriously, has Whitehouse made any inquiries of Platner or the DSCC about whether there are other allegations from women he would deem credible?
Dem Sen. Whitehouse says he’s “not impressed” by the allegations against Graham Platner in the latest NYT report.
“Seems like a lot of nothing. I mean, the only one who had anything to say that seemed ‘unsettling’ was a woman who works for right-wing political operations.”
“The problem of excusing abhorrent ideologies for the sake of electoral gains is growing more pervasive and universal,” Mike Nelson argues. “It’s shameful that our leaders are willing to accept this over such small stakes.” https://t.co/XPPyzSzdU2
Three women who dated Graham Platner, the Democratic candidate for Senate in Maine, told The New York Times they found his actions intimidating and disturbing, describing volatile relationships. https://t.co/ClaeKxVUEs
37 years ago today, the CCP launched its brutal crackdown on the peaceful student-led protests in Tiananmen Square. What made this atrocity especially shocking was that it unfolded before the eyes of the world, broadcast live on TV.
In the decades since, the CCP has worked relentlessly to erase this chapter of history. Many younger Chinese have little knowledge of this horrific event, and this year, for the first time, authorities banned families from visiting the public cemetery where many victims are buried.
Meanwhile, here in the U.S., leftists attempt to rewrite history by drawing false comparisons between rioters and the Chinese students who stood up to a tyrannical regime, and between ICE enforcing immigration law and the CCP’s military opening fire on protesters.
We must not forget the history and horror of the Tiananmen Square massacre. We must teach future generations about the horrors of communism and how precious liberty truly is.
Yes, California has a crazy concept where we give voters until the deadline to vote.
And we are more concerned with counting correctly
than quickly.

I stood at this pool, at both monuments and saw both reflections…
He’s a God damn idiot, as are the fools that support him. The “Reflection Pool” wasn’t designed by American architect Henry Bacon a hundred years ago to look like a swimming pool. It’s designed to have a darkened characteristics that has reflective qualities to reflect the monuments.
That way, the Washington Monument is reflective to you when at the Lincoln Memorial, and when at the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial is reflective to you.
It’s designed to enhance the grandeur of monuments, create an illusion of reflection, and inclusion of expansive space of unity.
He’s a tacky vulgar person that vulgarizes everything he touches. America isn’t becoming great, it’s becoming vulgar.

People are going to freak out, like they do every 2 years, because they refuse to learn that the initial votes counted in CA are always far to the right of whatever the actual results end up being.
It's not nearly as simple as Nate and others want to make it out to be. Mail-in balloting combined with variable USPS delivery are a problem. Setting Elex Day as the last day for ballots to be valid would mean all voters don't have the same period to consider and cast a ballot.
... it already seems foolish to place this much custodial power in the hands of the USPS. There will be issues with any voting system we can imagine, but the traditional method that defaults to in-person voting and results validated by multiple layers of counting..
