Algorand just won Blockchain Technology for North America at the 2026 World Finance Sustainability Awards.
The room: FedEx, United Airlines, Cargill, Ecolab.
Good company for a carbon-neutral L1.
We just released our PQ roadmap, targeting broad quantum resilience by 2027. This is a very aggressive roadmap, with first deliverables happening next quarter.
Beyond deliverables, we also outlined our philosophy around crypto agility.

Algorand is now live on https://t.co/tENlDZyZmC.
Founded by Silvio Micali, MIT professor and Turing Award winner. The SEC formally classified $ALGO as a digital commodity alongside Bitcoin and Ethereum. The network runs at 6,000 TPS with sub-two-second finality, has been carbon-negative since 2021, and shipped live post-quantum transactions on mainnet.
On UEX:
→ Trade $ALGO against 100+ pairs in crypto and fiat
→ Onramp and offramp with Zelle, PayPal, Credit Cards, and Bank Transfers
→ Earn up to 3.5% APY just for holding through Savings Rewards
→ Borrow against your $ALGO at up to 90% LTV when you want cash without selling
The chain Micali built. Now on UEX.

Algorand is steadily carving out a role in agentic commerce.
• Official partner for @Google’s Agentic Payments Protocol (AP2)
• Full integration across the x402 stack
@Algorand is increasingly well-positioned for AI-native payments.
The United Nations Development Programme / @UNDP has launched the Blockchain Advisory Group, a body of 26 organisations from across the blockchain ecosystem.
Algorand, through @AlgoFoundation, is proud to be a founding member alongside the Ethereum Foundation, Stellar Development Foundation, Cardano Foundation, and others.
The group will meet twice a year, each time with a different development theme.
Made my first prediction on @alphaarcade using my @ethereum account on @MetaMask. Transferred 10 @USDC to @Algorand using @Allbridge_io. Picked a market, signed the transaction with my EVM keys. Done. No need to buy $ALGO. No need to download an Algorand wallet. Just me, Alpha Arcade, and MetaMask. Sweet!
Algorand has surpassed 3.5 billion transactions.
Real transactions. Real usage. On-chain.
0 downtime. 0 failed transactions.
Can your blockchain do that?
The Quantum Threat is real, but the response isn't equal.
Google Quantum AI’s new white paper reveals a massive gap in Post-Quantum (PQ) readiness:
❌ Bitcoin: Most supply is "at-rest" vulnerable. New estimates show a fast quantum computer could crack keys in ~9 mins—fast enough to hijack active mempool transactions.
❌ Ethereum: High "Account Vulnerability". Once you transact, your public key is exposed forever. Admin keys for $200B+ in RWAs/Stablecoins are sitting ducks for at-rest attacks.
✅ Algorand: Recognized by the paper as a "trailblazing project" that proves the PQC transition is realistic today.
The Algorand Advantage:
* Immutable forever: State Proofs (shipped in 2022) use PQ Falcon signatures to provide cryptographic attestations of the chain that stay secure even against future quantum actors.
* PQ accounts: Developers can generate Falcon keypairs, derive quantum-secure addresses, and execute PQ transactions today.
* Ready to migrate: The only major chain with native key rotation (rekeying), allowing users to swap to PQ-safe keys without losing their account identity.
* Dev tools: PQ signature verification is available as a built-in developer primitive.
The Bottom Line: while others are still debating "soft forks" and "burns" and writing weighty roadmaps, Algorand has been shipping for several years.

Google Quantum AI just published a landmark paper on quantum threats to every major blockchain.
Beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum, no blockchain receives more coverage than Algorand, cited for live post-quantum deployments across signatures, state proofs, key rotation, and smart contracts.
The alarm has been sounded. @Algorand has been answering it for years.
New @Algorand chairman @billbar is everywhere lately (like recently on @APompliano), always spreading the word about $ALGO! 🔥
Same with @walexholmes!
Most of the brilliant team at AT joined @AlgoFoundation after the merge, @Algorand is active again…
Momentum is real! GO ALGORAND! 🫡🔥
In just three years, Solana went from over ~2,500 validator nodes to ~790, a 68% decline, and the trend is accelerating.
On the other hand, over the same period, Algorand saw its number of active validator nodes increase by 560%, reaching ~1,650 today! 📈
FYI, Solana validators now need ~160,000 $SOL staked just to break even, which is obviously pushing smaller validators out and increasingly centralizing the network in the hands of the wealthiest few.
This is definitely concerning, and it's mainly due to the extremely (insane) high costs required to keep a validator node running on Solana, combined with declining supply inflation used for staking rewards (currently ~4% per year, decreasing by 15% annually until it reaches a fixed 1.5%).
And it's only going to get worse.
Algorand takes the opposite approach by keeping access to consensus extremely low-cost!
Not free, which is why staking rewards still matter, but cheap.
For that reason alone, PPoS is a true masterpiece from @silviomicali! 🐐
IMO, this is one of the main reasons why $ALGO is likely one of the few major chains able to achieve and maintain a better long-term performance and decentralization ratio in the years ahead.
We've been talking a lot recently (and will continue to with the upcoming Project King safety paper) about validator sustainability on $ALGO, but the truth is that securing the network will always remain possible even with minimal validator revenues, including for smaller ones.
And that's likely IMO, one of Algorand's greatest strengths and a major point of differentiation compared to most other chains!
That said, not everything is "bad" on Solana.
Actually, they're doing quite well on staked supply, with stake distribution still objectively better than on $ALGO, and it's far from being the worst network in terms of decentralization right now.
But IMO, they're the perfect example of a chain that will only keep getting more centralized over time because of bad design, and slowly lose the whole point of why a blockchain exists in the first place.
People are definitely underestimating how, with just a few adjustments, $ALGO can become extremely resilient.
Exciting times ahead! 🔥
That's crazy when you think about it.
In just a few months, Algorand has become one of the best-positioned chains for AI payments!
✅ Official partner for @Google's AP2
✅ x402 spec merged by @coinbase
It's one of the very few chains in this position.
Probably nothing.
What's coming to Algorand?
🟢 A game-changing roadmap
🟢 A new retail adoption campaign
🟢 Major partnerships
🟢 Increased network decentralization
And of course, 0 downtime.
I really hope FIFA Collect's greedy move away from Algorand serves as a lesson.
Just 10 days post-migration, @FIFACollect users are complaining non-stop, the new FIFA blockchain (built on $AVAX) is painfully slow vs $ALGO.
Never too late to turn back! 👍
