ESPN sources: TE Kyle Pitts and the Atlanta Falcons reached agreement today on a three-year, $54 million contract that includes $36 million fully guaranteed. It is the largest three-year contract for a tight end in NFL history. David Mulugheta of Athletes First and Andre Odom confirmed the deal.
My Atlanta Falcons 2026 player who could help define their season: TE Kyle Pitts
More on Pitts who at this time sounds likely to remain a Falcon & play on franchise tag but could be in position to elevate ATL offense + reset TE market in 2027 with another strong season:
The Falcons had a wide open cap sheet in 2027 and beyond.
Good to see them start using it by retaining homegrown talent.
Drake first, Bijan next, then potentially Pitts.
A common theme has emerged during the Falcons' first two weeks of OTAs: Players are very excited to have Matt Ryan back with the organization.
He's been active during practices and his experiences on the field lends weight to his messages. https://t.co/w0u4xSrfYG
A Good man, a good manager, a more than fair person, a leader and I respected the heck out of him. God bless the family, friends & loved ones of Bobby Cox. A legend.
The #Braves have lost another legend as Hall of Fame manager Bobby Cox passed away. He was 84 years old.
Cox led Atlanta to a 2,149-1,709 record, a record 14 consecutive division titles, 5 NL pennants and the 1995 World Series championship.
