@LewistheLight1 I picked this album up the day it first dropped! Great album with a killer lineup! This was near the beginning of a short-lived era when Columbia invested heavily in “avant garde” jazz. Lots of USA-reissued DIW records! Columbia didn’t stick with it, but it was very influential!

@_motherslug Saw Sorcerer in the Summer of ’77 when it was released in the suffocating shadow of Star Wars. Such a unique movie! That damn truck is a character in and of itself! I had been a deep Tangerine Dream fan since the early ‘70s so I was thrilled with the soundtrack! “Despair” indeed!

@_motherslug I’m so sorry to hear this & I wish you peace. I can very much relate to your misery. My mom died in Aug of ’24. I was her trustee & I just recently finished the very last part of closing her trust and estate. Too much time with lawyers and tax docs (I hate money and finances).

@LewistheLight1 This album was my gateway from prog rock to jazz in 1975. It’s complicated and Billy Cobnam’s Funky Thide of Sings was involved but Herbie was my Charon to the Jazz World!
