@DiscussingFilm So half of their slate will be New Line releases and original films. This seems... smart? What's with WB suddenly making some good decisions lately
@mark_k This existed for half a century. It was called STAR TREK, until Alex Kurtzman got his clueless hands on the IP and turned it into yet another derivative dystopia.
@Limbouniverse@sashayanshin I don't think there's a viable AE killer yet. Just partial solutions, depending on your use case and workflow. Once somebody cracks THAT, Adobe really is finished.
@TheCinesthetic People blame the downfall of theaters on streaming but you used to have multiple NEW films to choose from each week and it was affordable. If you gave people that option again they would take it.
@BenPielstick@ThisIsRadinsky "Human labor" is such a *problem* (especially creative work) that we must reinvent the world and burn down the rainforests to create a new future where a giant tech company does it all for us instead? Horrific tech bro fantasy babble to juice stocks.
@nerddenreal When you see how much material they got out of recasting the 1st doctor, it just seems like a matter of time until they recast #2. 12 won't do it, too soon for 13, others aging, etc. The logistics almost demand it eventually
@jessiegender She was an MD and useful on day 1, got up to speed quickly, brought fun energy, low on drama, saved the Doctor's butt many times, and then walked away instead of holding on too long. Pretty great run, really.
@horrormuseum It's the best Elm St. movie because the full, developed formula is there with the mythos, style, theme music, etc. but it wasn't overly silly yet
@BriannaWu About halfway through Tenet I thought the entire movie was a palindrome and was reversing back to the movie's opening. But he bailed out of that to have a big "war ending" and it fell a little short for me conceptually.
@cspan@RepDWStweets@RobertKennedyJr He sounds like a frog that's been chain smoking for 80 years. There's 1000 bigger reasons he'll never be president but that's 1001.
@USA_Polling The "approval" of Andrew Johnson here is doubly sad bc it's 90% people confusing him with Andrew Jackson, who himself was a complete monster. It's an inception of bad takes.
@horrormuseum I've always felt he has 3 identities, not 2. The only time he can really be himself and let his guard down is when he's alone or with a select few people, so both Clark and Superman are a sort of show he has to put on for different reasons
@MaceAhWindu Yeah, people don't understand nuance anymore. Most of us want to live in a country where talented people can become millionaires, but where billionaires can't have *everything*. Not that complicated, really.
