🗣️ PAUL POGBA: "When I received my first big salary at Manchester United, I was so happy that I went to see my father, and he told me: 'Son, don’t waste your money, when the party is over, the guests will leave, and everything will be left behind.'
I didn’t understand these words until I got into trouble and realised that many friends who used to come around all the time no longer bothered to check on me. The only people I have now are my immediate family."
When we too are tempted by greed and indifference, the many “Lazaruses” of today remind us of Jesus’ words. They serve as an effective catechesis for us, especially during this Jubilee, which is a time of conversion and forgiveness, commitment to justice, and sincere search for peace.
LET US PRAY 🙏
Dear Lord, on this Thursday morning, I pray that you walk beside me as I endure challenges. Give me the strength I need to challenge every day ahead. Send your angels to guard over me as You lead me into my divine purpose. Amen.
Yesterday, while out for a walk, I came across a group of women selling fruits and vegetables by the roadside. Curious, I approached them and struck up a conversation to better understand why they choose to operate on the streets rather than in the designated markets.
Their response was eye-opening. They explained that renting a space in the market costs 15,000 RWF per month, and on top of that, they’re required to pay an additional 5,000 RWF in taxes. Yet, the capital they start with each day is only around 15,000 RWF. Every morning, they wake up very early to travel to Zinia or Nyabugogo markets to purchase their produce at wholesale prices.
Given these financial constraints, many of them simply can’t afford the costs associated with formal market spaces. Operating on the street becomes a survival tactic rather than a choice.
This situation deserves serious attention from local leaders and policymakers. These women are part of the informal sector, yet they play a crucial role in local food distribution and urban livelihoods. There’s a need to create more inclusive policies and support mechanisms that enable them to earn a living with dignity without being pushed further into vulnerability.
Supporting them isn’t just about easing regulations it’s about economic justice and recognizing the realities faced by low-income entrepreneurs in our cities. Since they are key stakeholders when it comes to social protection.

On April 29th, Bboxx joined the Mwulire Sector community to remember victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
We visited Mwulire Memorial Site, where over 27,000 victims are resting, to pay our respects in a moment of reflection. #Kwibuka31
LET'S PRAY 🙏🏿
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of this new day and for the work of our hands. On this Labour Day, we lift up all workers—those who toil in silence, those seeking opportunity, and those building a better world.
Bless our efforts with purpose, protect our dignity, and guide us toward justice and fairness in every task. Grant us strength, wisdom, and peace as we serve others through our labour. Amen.
I would like to express my gratitude to all the peace-loving, freedom-loving patriots and pan-Africanists who rallied around the world on Wednesday April 30, 2025 to support our commitment and our vision for a new Burkina Faso and a new Africa, free from imperialism and neo-colonialism.
Your active solidarity and this demonstration of sympathy strenghtens our conviction that the fight we are waging for a fairer and more equitable world is justified.
We will never bend our backs in the face of adversity; we will stand firm until our peoples are truly emancipated. With you, we are certain that victory over the forces of evil is at hand.
Together, in solidarity, we will defeat imperialism and neo-colonialism for a free, dignified and sovereign Africa.
