I literally did this at 11 years old. I lost my first two matches, saw **BYE**, and then I asked to use the store phone to call my parents to come pick me up.
Don’t remember who told it and not about rules, but one of my fav magic misunderstanding stories is about someone at prerelease who looked at pairings after they lost round 1
They saw “bye” next to their name and went home because they though it was like “you’re out, see ya”
To be fair having Eternal Weekend on Halloween in those years was a shit idea then and it’s still a shit idea now but WOTC doesn’t plan on changing the date.
Making terrible decisions in the past doesn’t mean we have to keep making them.
@Danaiides@Mengu09@ADCourtneyy In August of last year, YouTube changed how they count views as well. Individuals who watch with ad blockers no longer get counted. I went from averaging 7-8k views per video down to about 4k.
I assume those remaining views are mostly mobile devices.
Last night we recorded @EternalGloryPod on new Secrets of Strixhaven cards. Our section on Erode was largely about the Azorius Stifle deck in Legacy, at the end of that section I said, "F- that deck, I can't beat it. But I don't know how it ever beats Energy."
There’s only one product I trust to protect my high end cards and its @kmcsleevesusa Hard Perfect Fits. I’ve used them for nearly a decade and I can’t imagine changing - they’re so high quality! If you want to try them, use code: STORM10 at https://t.co/QFQqhoeFjw
Maybe Erode helps fix some of this! I've been thinking about this since we recorded and I just thought I'd share, no hard feelings towards Brian. I just don't believe this deck is structured to be the best version of itself.

The deck with 6-7 Stifle effects, MD Force of Negation (SB copies too), SB Lavinias, SB Null Rods, etc. Is overprepared to crush combo and it's good at it's job. I just think if it ever really wanted to be a top contender, it would need to reconsider some of these slots.
