@GFAPlays I have been so excited for the Railen to release but can't truly enjoy it thanks to the state of the PU (currently). I feel for the ship team, having their work finally release and it can barely be enjoyed.
@RobinBlitz Rule of cool, my dude. Can't have that inside without that exterior. That's the trade-off.
I get you like the inside, but that's the art style and design language cost (outside reflecting the inside, and vice versa).
Best you can get otherwise is the Origin M80.
@RobertsSpaceInd ... piloting at all (currently) is a miracle.
Don't get me wrong, this is no 3.18 (bad quality). But this (4.8 and 4.8.1) is quantity.
Will this continue with 4.8.2... currently it's a good chance.
So did you just drop the mindset after the "year of playability"?
@SpaceTomatoGG Part of me is expecting a San'tok level of jank when it release.
For a refresher on the San'tok drop. It had broken landing gear, broken audio (so f***ing loud) and broken VTOL. Now the Railen will add cargo to the mix.
Honestly I hope I'm wrong.
@Zurakci Yep, just glad I have a Hull B to utilise and take on the starter interstellar contracts near perfectly.
I miss the other hauling missions, as you are in system and could stack them together for (over all) better pay/rewards Vs time.
@RobertsSpaceInd Behind the ships... are broken game loops, like cargo running (mainly considering the next ship to drop).
Bit of an insult to the ship ship designers IMO, "work on this thing. Then when It drops, no one can truly appreciate it".
@Lee_Vertisce@StarCitizenDan Buddy I think I did.
Pointed out 4.8 is bad, but a complete failure is far worse and at this time the worst they have done.
@StarCitizenDan@Lee_Vertisce 4.8’s worst is localized shard locking/collapses breaking accounts. 3.18 was a total backend collapse: Entitlement Service timeouts (killing large fleets), broken ASOPs & persistence failure. 3.18 wasn't just 'rough'; it was a fundamental system failure. Not equal.
That help?
@StarCitizenDan 3.18 was a backend collapse. Large-fleet accounts were inaccessible due to Entitlement Service timeouts, while broken ASOP terminals made ship retrieval impossible. Between those, zero-function contracts & persistence failures, it was a total breakdown.
@LightJak999@StellarBlade True.
But more of the same standards (or better) from SHIFT UP and more from that universe follow the same direction, I'm in.
@chonkrider Yeah the only alien ships worth the price is the Talon (reasonable price for a light fighter). Thankfully the Railen is not a niche ship (for its class) and a C2 can do the same for a lower price.
It is basically a "unique" C2 at this point and you pay for the shinse.
