Brookhaven beats Provine 48-0. Hampton played well Friday night, but he and the rest of the starters only played in the first half so everyone had a chance to play.

A Mississippi Association of Coaches all state football team selectee twice, from 10-12th grade, Bryce Smith of Brookhaven High School made 62 of 68 PAT opportunities (85.7%), 6 of 7 field goals (almost 92%), and his Tight End grade his senior year was 83% with 10 catches for 95 yards. His return his senior year was remarkable after having a season ending injury after the first game of his junior year! During Bryce’s tenure as a BHS Panther, he was named as Mississippi’s Male Heisman Scholarship recipient and helped the team accrue 94 points from field goals, points after touchdowns and two-point conversions. Thirteen points came during his freshman year which was shortened due to COVID. As a result of his punting, he also helped our defense earn a few safeties over the years!
