Thank you America for all that you are and all that you will be. Thank you for trusting me.
I'll have more to say about it later. My college roommate and one of my best friends Joe Pitts was on my wing for this one.
God Bless America and long live The Republic.

Utter devastation seen across the Northern Venezuelan coastal city of La Guaira, following tonight’s pair of major earthquakes, measuring 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude with an epicenter just to the west of Caracas.
The first 21 months of WW2 the mark 14 torpedo in the US submarine fleet had a high DUD probability.
The problem was threefold.
1-it went deeper than set, running under the keel and miss. Crews tried to fiddle with the settings to compensate but
2-the magnetic exploder feature, which should have triggered by getting even close to a ship, was interfered with by the earths magnetism causing premature detonation
3-then If it did hit? The Contact Exploder wouldn’t go off because the firing pin didn’t have enough force.
By late 1943 the issues were solved and the sub fleet skyrocketed in tonnage sunk. Effectively cutting the Japanese supply lines from the Taiwan strait to the Sea of Japan.
Why it took so long to fix it?
Bureaucracy.
The companies that built it and the military testers all swore by the product and totally disregarded after action reports in the field.
For 21 months solid of a World War.
When you look at the world today….
Don’t feel bad, you are not crazy, and your situation is not your fault,
we are just ruled by stupidity and corruption.
