Our Y13 Student Leaders (School and House Captains) planted some spring bulbs outside school this lunchtime. As well as brightening up the road-side, the daffodils will be a legacy of their leadership.
Year 7 science club (and a few keen Year 11s) loved the VR headset sent over by our waste management company today. They were able to explore the inside of the recycling facility which deals with Bolton School waste.
Our Year 7 winner is Louis Ball who produced an excellently designed poster with a detailed and well-thought-out idea for a digital/hands-on experience. Well done Louis, your attention to detail was tremendous.
Each day during Eco Week, we will share the BD winners and runners-up of the Bolton School Earthshot competition.
First up is our Y9 winning solution, a group effort by Ibraheem, Faheem and Usman.
Judges loved the simplicity of the idea and quality of the design.
Our Y8 winner is George Glover with a poster that makes a detailed case for composting in schools and communities.
Our judges particularly liked how he considered the small budget requirements and came up with a low-cost solution to implement the idea.
Today we begin a week across @BoltonSch celebrating and informing about the work of our eco groups as well as engaging in activities - all starting on world earth day @BsbdEco and others all involved from the youngest to the oldest pupils
A fascinating documentary for climate club members to start Eco Week. This film is about the members of the Citizens Assembly representing the UK population to influence climate policy.
