Richard Childress Racing has elected to suspend use of the No. 8 and will run the No. 33 at Charlotte Motor Speedway and beyond. Kyle Busch was instrumental in the design of RCR’s stylized No. 8 and it has become synonymous with Kyle and an important symbol for his fans and the NASCAR industry. No one can carry it forward to the level that he did. The No. 8 is reserved and ready for Brexton Busch when he is ready to go NASCAR racing.
Appropriate that in his final start in a points-paying race, Busch was ineligible for points, due to a rule that was created largely in part because of the ass-whoopings he put on the O'Reilly and Truck fields.
NASCAR should do what the MLB did with Roberto Clemente and elect Kyle Busch into the HOF immediately. I don’t think anyone would complain if he was an addition to this next class that was just announced
Thoughts and prayers with the Busch family.
Kyle was (still processing that part) my favorite driver. An absolute madman and one of the greatest talents NASCAR has ever seen. The loss of his life hits close, but it was such a privilege to be able to watch one of the GOATs.
@BoilerUniforms Not enough contrast between the white and silver, ends up looking like a giant white stripe at a glance. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I actually prefer the old stripes in general, matches the helmet.
Idaho now is known for producing potatoes and first round tight ends. The first tight ends to go in the past two drafts - Kenyon Saddiq this year, Colston Loveland last year - both are from Idaho.
