This is how Lionel Messi retired from international football ❤️.

[໊ @worldcup2o22]

everyone in this house is crying

[Snigdha @BtSvtCollector]

Having your team loves you like that is bigger than any achievement or title. Messi is not only the greatest player but the best leader to exist. What an incredible career you had Leo and what a beautiful retirement full of love from all over the world ❤️ Gracias Lionel Messi!

[Snigdha @BtSvtCollector]

@Boakye_Danquah_ @Lionel_Lingard Literally! The thing is Messi doesn't need trending. His fans are real football fans!

[Snigdha @BtSvtCollector]

@Lionel_Lingard Posting about his farewell just when Messi's farewell is about to start in few hours is just wrong and pitiful.

[Snigdha @BtSvtCollector]

@MattFootyTalk Because you all are flooding messages like "Messi fans are talking about Ronaldo". This is difference football "best" player fans and "famous" football player fans. Always spreading propaganda against the Messi. Your words won't change facts and the incredible career of Messi.

[Snigdha @BtSvtCollector]

@Footballmartha That's for Portugal not Argentina 😂

[Snigdha @BtSvtCollector]

@OginiSolomon Of course they can win, they trained with Messi's leadership no? This team is ready to die for their leader and they'd not let their country or Messi's name down.

[Snigdha @BtSvtCollector]

@Moyin82245213 @john322226 Did you? Did you watch the game with Wales, missing simple shots like that?

[Snigdha @BtSvtCollector]

Ronaldo has given Portugal top ranks in football indeed but he put himself above his country and team. Messi always did opposite, Argentina, Barca, teammates above his own talent and this is why his country, team loves him. But I truly feel sad seeing Ronaldo retire like this.

[Snigdha @BtSvtCollector]

I feel bad for Ronaldo, he used to be one of the best. You should be self aware of the fact you are not matching with your team's capability right now and it's okay, after all you are 41 and still here. After WC it was time to retire respectfully, just like Messi.

[Snigdha @BtSvtCollector]

He's not best like Messi but was one of the best players. Even after participating in nations league, if being benched, he should've respected his team's win. Leader's duty is to guide with experience sometimes not take part each time. This is difference between humility and ego.

[Snigdha @BtSvtCollector]

@Varticoo Of course! This is the team, that is ready to give up everything for Messi. If you don't support them, are you even a genuine Messi fan?

[Snigdha @BtSvtCollector]

@DarrylRMFC Always bringing Messi to conversation. Messi is greatest player of football to exist, carrying his team with not only goals but assists too. He's best leader and you see it from way he is respected from his team and his country. He's a team player not solo player.

[Snigdha @BtSvtCollector]

@CFCfanjanty @TouchlineX Messi still delivers top performances and os respectful to his team as well. Respect is earned not demanded. Ronaldo used to be a great solo player but Messi is team player and a great leader.

[Snigdha @BtSvtCollector]

@UTD_Seth001 He's correct! Ronaldo had a great legacy, one of the best players but right now he's not. His team is playing better without him. It's okay to retire and give space to younger generation. Even Messi is doing that despite still giving top performances.

[Snigdha @BtSvtCollector]

@OginiSolomon Messi is literally carrying the team 😂 He is the reason they came from bottom of conf to champions.

[Snigdha @BtSvtCollector]

@Debbybruno3 Moment other team scores, Messi is like hold up, let me show you something XD
