If Canadians want a domestic purebred dog community to provide quality puppies and the support structure that comes with it, they need to contact their lawmakers to ask they stop interfering in the interests of breed experts and the health care providers who serve them. We are better judges of what is and isn’t necessary to preserve and protect our breeds.

In some cases, we’ve been doing it for thousands of years.

Again, they never stop at ears. They never stop at tails or cat declawing or eating beef, just as they never stop at “assault rifles”. They never stop until they reach their intended goal - the elimination of companion animals of all kinds.

Has anyone followed the case of Akashkumar Khant?

He was convicted of soliciting sex from a 15-year-old in Mississauga and received NO jail time and a conditional discharge (meaning no criminal record) because he was a non-citizen and, according to the judge, a criminal record could have jeopardized his future path to citizenship.

This makes no sense to me.

First of all, why would we make it EASIER for non-citizens to commit crimes compared to Canadian citizens, who face harsher sentences for similar convictions?

And more importantly, why would we ever want someone convicted of a sex crime to become a citizen at all?

Shouldn’t it be the opposite? Wouldn’t we want them removed from our country as quickly as possible?

For the first time in modern history the political left was proven right about something: Free Trade.

Free trade shipped jobs overseas and enriched Wall Street at the expense of Main Street - just as its sloganeering detractors warned at the time.

Cheap imports wrecked domestic manufacturing, then took out small retail, and now big retail.
