Rye Whiskey Syrup: Heat a small pan or pot and add 1/4c (2oz) of American rye whiskey (90+ proof) and 1/4c (2oz) of white sugar; turn the stove to medium and stir constantly until sugar is dissolved—do not boil! Once dissolved, remove from heat and allow to cool before bottling.
@How2Drink@BreakwaterRev Shiso Infused Whisky: Roll five shiso leaves into a tube and slice into ribbons; pour 6oz of Baller (or another Japanese whisky) over the leaves and allow to infuse for 48 hours. Strain the whisky through a coffee filter and store in a sealable jar.
@How2Drink@BreakwaterRev Mix all of the ingredients together in a tin or glass and add ice; stir to chill.
Place a large ice cube into a glass and pour the mix over the ice; garnish with shiso leaves.

Guilty Pleasure: Long Island Iced Teas 🍹🏝️
I'm working on an upgraded riff (unaged brandy instead of vodka, passion fruit, creole shrub, etc.) but finding it hard to parse. One can only drink so many LI riffs in a night 🥴 In the mean time, what's your guilty drinking pleasure?
Devil’s Night is a Daiquiri of sorts that uses a blend of rums alongside lime and a compound syrup made from the pool mom's favorite Daily’s Strawberry Daiquiri while a Habanero Tincture brings some sweet heat to the mix.
Make one tonight!🥂

As a professional liquor rep wanting more time to write and with a casual, non-professional blog with a drinking problem as his outlet this did my heart some good. Maybe it can do the same for you, too.
