A mysterious vampire hunter posing as a schoolgirl near a U.S. air base in 1966 Japan, as she battles blood-drinking vampire-like creatures in a dark, stylish animated horror-action film in the early 00s.

Here is a thread on what the vast majority of critical biblical scholars and historians agree on regarding slavery in the Bible, stated carefully and without polemics.🧵
Three recent books on the incarnation that I read this advent season.
All three books advocate for some form of “incarnation anyway” and contain robust thoughts on what ministry looks like in light of this Christology.
🧵 It includes questionable women … and that is shocking
Ancient Jewish genealogies almost never included women.
Matthew includes five:
• Tamar (incest, injustice)
• Rahab (Gentile prostitute)
• Ruth (Gentile outsider)
• Bathsheba (the wife of Uriah,” highlighting David’s sin)
• Mary (pregnant before marriage)
Each woman brings scandal, suffering, or social exclusion.
Matthew is quietly saying: “God’s redemptive plan advances through broken people, messy stories, and unexpected outsiders.”
How do you find good resources to study the Bible?
https://t.co/UBUrtN7JUl is an excellent place to start! Amazed at how many preachers and teachers don’t know about this site. Check it out!
He is the Word, Messenger, Wisdom, Seed, Servant, Commander of the Lord’s army, and more. He walked in Eden, wrestled with Jacob, led Israel out of Egypt, and spoke to Moses. The Old Testament theophanies are Christophanies, for “no one has ever seen God; the only begotten God, who is in the bosom of the Father, he has made him known” (John 1:18). He is prophesied, prefigured, and present from Genesis to Malachi in multiple ways.
A quick guide to every major Old Testament prophet, who they preached to, and when they lived. God raised up voice after voice across centuries to call His people back each time they went astray. Which prophet’s story or ministry impacts you the most?

'[E]vil is only an ontological "minus" that does not even exist in itself and by itself but is instead extinguished when separated from being; and the partisans of eternal evil are not themselves aware of what they are affirming, falling into Manicheism and admitting alongside the being of God the independent being of evil. Evil has no depths. It is exhaustible and it exhausts itself, and at a determinate stage the maturation of being its final impotence inevitably appears; evil becomes fatigued and disillusioned with itself. A static state in the spiritual world, in "eternal life," does not exist, and the endless success of evil—its progress in eternity, as this is defined by the defenders of eternal impenitence and of eternal torments for the rejected and condemned—is an ontological absurdity and a truly satanic blasphemy against God's creation.'
