Eden is one of the victims whose story NOVA was made to tell.

Netflix looked at a documentary exposing the October 7 massacre and chose to reject it as too political.

They saw what Hamas did to Eden and chose not to show it.

I want to tell you about Niv Raviv and Nirel Zini.

On the morning of October 7, Niv, 27, and Nirel, 31, were together in their home in Kibbutz Kfar Aza when terrorists entered the kibbutz. "Shit, there are terrorists here," Nirel wrote to his brothers. "You don't understand how much gunfire there is here. I hope they don't get to us."

He had no gun. First, he told them he was holding an iron bar. Later, a knife. One of his brothers begged him to escape. Nirel told him he couldn't.

At 10:01 a.m., he sent his final message to his brothers: "They're shooting at me. Pray. Please. There are so many of them. I sent my location to the forces. I hope they get here."

Minutes later, Nirel spoke to Niv's mother and told her he was standing by the safe-room door with a knife, protecting Niv. Then he spoke to his father. Niv was hiding under the bed, reciting Psalms, while Nirel held the safe-room door shut, a knife in his hand.

The terrorists set fire to the air-conditioning system, filling the safe room with smoke. Niv and Nirel could no longer breathe, so they decided to escape through the window. Nirel went out first and encountered the terrorists. He fought them and managed to break away, then called for Niv to come out and went back toward her.

Niv climbed out of the window. Outside their home, they were both shot and murdered.

Niv and Nirel were buried side by side. Nirel's father later revealed that after murdering his son, the terrorists beheaded him and took his head with them. His head has never been found.

Weeks after the massacre, Nirel's family searched his car. Inside, they found an engagement ring.

Nirel had planned to propose to Niv on October 10 - just three days after they were murdered.
