I'm going to be honest. I wasn't into it at first. Some of the bosses seemed way too difficult way to early and getting the upgrades was a struggle. That was. Until. I encountered nosk. *(I swear he'd be my favorite if I didn't find his fight tedious)*
Then I started to take in the atmosphere some more...then I beat the lost kin. Then I went and got the void heart...and everything was starting to click with this world. By far. My favorite fight was the Halloween knight. It going from so intense to so tragic just like that was amazing. The sealed vessel song is still my favorite to this day. It took a while for me to see why, but hollow knight is so good. Atmospheric, challenging and so rich with lore.
