Hala Ashour was a loving mother to four children, two sons, and two daughters. She was a kind and cheerful aunt who loved family gatherings, outings, and always sought to bring joy to her family. Her niece, Marah Ashour, described her, saying, "My aunt loved life. She enjoyed outings, photography, gathering with friends, and celebrating. She loved people and loved spreading happiness. She loved us so much. She adored pampering me and would always call me 'MarMar.' She always gave selflessly without expecting anything in return."
She deeply loved her children: Kareem, Omar, Aliya, and Sara. They cherished her and were deeply attached to her. They were her world, compensating for any feelings of emptiness she may have experienced in her life.
Hala was cold-bloodedly killed by the occupation on November 18, along with her son Omar and her daughter Sara. Although she is physically gone, she remains in the memories of her loved ones and in the hearts of her remaining children.

This is a systematic practice in the IDF known as the "neighbour protocol"
