I’m so tired of “checking paperwork” being the polite excuse for detaining people. NO ONE is required to carry their “papers” in THIS country. Go ahead and label me “extremist” if that means I REJECT the practices of 1940s Germany and choose to honor the INVITATION on Ms Liberty.
Ilya probably doesn’t ever remember his mother saying that to him. It’s second only to the quick shot of them touching their feet together under the kitchen table as the moment that BROKE me.
I know I’m weird, but HR ignited such a fight-or-flight response in me. It was painful to watch. In a good way. I remember that tension. That secrecy. That fear. But I feel like y’all missed the most important moment. Shane’s mom shouting “I love you !” before they drove away…
@TheBrandyHoward Ozemporexia. Bookmark it. #OG14 (full thought process: it’s the opposite of Wall-E…our bones are brittle because they’re SKINNY, not fluffy…idk, just need both of you here as long as I am…so get a degree or 2 & fucking figure it out. Carry the 1. Do an inverse. Subtract -ab.
My internet is through AT&T. They sent a couple threatening letters about how fiber was available in my area and my service “might” be interrupted if I don’t call to schedule an upgrade. I didn’t call because my schedule has been shit and I don’t know when I’ll be home.
I have an appointment for the upgrade. And if I want Internet on any but one device for the next four days, I’ll have to call again. And wait. And go through the steps for them to ultimately uncheck a box. For something I didn’t “voluntarily” ask for, like they present.
He and his family didnt deserve this. Just like the families of Parkland and Uvalde and that church and that veterinarian and that Ukranian girl didnt. It’s the same. This isn’t an opportunity for crying out about justification. This is just as hallowed, just as sacred.
I can’t, as an extremely sensitive guy, absorb the tit-for-tat that so many are doing right now. Yes, I’ve held back tears for Charlie Kirk all day. No, I didn’t agree with him on a SINGLE thing. The sadness I feel is the SAME as I feel for the family members of a hook shootings.
Engagement is his legacy. Even if he shied away from certain people. This was his life bread. This was his money. This was his capitalism. This was his JOB. And he did his job. It wasn’t fair. People can fundamentally disagree with me and still exist. Many DO.
