Before, at 5 years old our mothers were already teaching us how to rinse the plate when someone else was washing.

But now a child is crying because you hurt their emotions by asking them to do a simple chore.

I came across a boy recently who was rude and spoilt. He talked back at adults without any remorse. The last thing he did pushed me and I spanked him. When his daddy came I reported him.

And do you know what the father said?

That the boy had been living abroad before coming to Nigeria and going back abroad again and that his stay in Nigeria gave him psychological issues.

I was shocked.

What does being rude to an adult have to do with psychological conditions? Even though I was disappointed in the boy I was more disappointed in the father.

When you make excuses for your children's bad behavior you make them difficult for every teacher, every adult and every environment they enter.

Discipline is not cruelty. It is preparation for the real world.

I just saw a video that is making me go cray cray.

A Nigerian married woman in Canada with her two kids, came online to say that she has been in Canada for 3 years without her husband.

And that the only condition for her to bring her husband to Canada is for him to do a video and post on social media, promising that he would not cheat on her or he would die.

The useless husband did the video and posted it online swearing that he will never cheat on her if she brings him to Canada.
