@erikandersennn @CoffeeSacred There were 4 GM’s responsible for that cup in different ways. Smith and Pullford drafted Kieth, Seabrook, Hjalmarson, Crawford, Buff, Bolland, Brouwer, Bickell, Burish. Would be hard to argue they didn’t impact the 2010 team. Tallon drafted 19 & 88 and traded for sharp/versteeg.

@MatteoG29_ What a terrible take. Davidson has held on the other UFA’s in the past when he didn’t get enough at the deadline. He wanted to resign him so having that chance vs. A 3rd or 4th rounder was worth it.

Davidson just got reupped because ownership believes in the patience model so there is no need to rush things with a trade like that at all.

@breadmanlakings That’s a bingo. Don’t forget Bowman spent 7 more years chasing a cup after 2015. 2 days before the 2022 draft, Davidson had no 1st rd picks because of Bowman. Then he traded Dach, Debrincat and took on Mrazek and ended up with 3 first rounders and a 2nd.

@Logos554592 They took West with their 3rd first rounder & admitted it was a grand slam swing. After Frondell at 3 who was named best forward at the world juniors, the best prospect in hockey news and the best prospect by Scott Wheeler. Then Nestrasil who had a dynamic season. Clown shoes.

@Logos554592 Ya sorry man. Nazar is a first round pick with world class speed, he had the same goals and more points in his d + 2 season in the NHL. They are different players but I wouldn’t do a one for one trade at this point, let alone throw in an unprotected 1st & 2nd? Like why?

@RinksideGeneral What’s the package to get him? I’m not worried about cap space, that seems like less and less of an issue. Does it cost this years first, another first, Lardis and Boisvert? Do we look back in 5 years and go shit, we should have just kept the 2 first rounders & those 2 prospects.
