-for this game in specific, since the entire franchise is built upon Kratos alone, it probably would've been a good move to at least give us a reason for Faye's story being told

I think my main problem with the Faye game is what's the hook/premise? God of War only works as a concept because the entire concept itself banks on Kratos. His vengeance on the gods is the only unique aspect of the story, otherwise you get a story retelling the pantheons-

Only thing I can think of is she's probably gonna want to help Kratos and Atreus through their adventures by accessing the higher plane of existence, but that's just an assumption. They kinda just drop you into the story along with her and that can be cool, but-
