It’s been reported that the Labour government are considering removing inheritance tax relief on farms. This would decimate family farms. Many farmers would be forced to sell their farms to pay extortionate inheritance taxes. Welsh farmer @1GarethWynJones highlights his concerns.
“The real asset is the land. If Keir Starmer and the new Labour government put inheritance tax on that, you will see farms being sold. They are not going to be able to carry on.”

This cannot happen. It will decimate family farms in the UK.
He’s right. Cows are part of environmental sustainability. Methane from cows is part of the natural carbon cycle that after 10-12 years breaks down into natural CO2 and water. Grass absorbs the CO2 by photosynthesis and the cycle starts again and keeps on repeating.
“Four in 10 farms at risk of closing under new green subsidy scheme, report warns. Rollout criticised for being slow, confusing and inadequate.”
