Thank God my wife and daughter are okay. 🙏

They were sideswiped by a truck tonight, causing their vehicle to spin out and slam into a barrier. The driver fled the scene.

@JSOPIO claims there was no other vehicle involved — but video will surface showing otherwise.

SHANDS BRIDGE WEEKEND CLOSURE: The Shands Bridge will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Sunday for maintenance work. Drivers should use the Buckman Bridge or Memorial Bridge (Palatka) and allow extra travel time.

@Siliki_D @Rightanglenews I know some folks who will take I-95 through downtown or go all the way around the loop on 295 rather than go over the Dames Point Bridge. And to be honest, the Buckman Bridge on the south side of Jax makes me more nervous than the Dames Point Bridge.
