Hey $OMI fam, wanted to take a moment to address the questions / speculation I’ve seen about recent token movements from the @ecomi_ bis dev wallet.

There are two things that I want to make clear right away:

- the founders aren’t selling
- bis dev tokens are not being sold on the open market

What is the business development wallet and how is it used?

The bis dev wallet are company tokens available to the company to assist us in all facets of operating the business.

This includes paying for staffing, market making, funding liquidity, marketing, forming partnerships, creating integrations and utilities + about a dozen other things that will benefit and grow the project.

ECOMI is not a revenue generating entity, meaning that there are no recurring sources of income to help support all of the above operations.

Historically, the company has run quite lean and has not had to tap into the bis dev as frequently, but as we make strides towards several priorities and integrations that will benefit the project throughout the rest of 2025 and beyond, having access to capital to ensure that they are successful is necessary.

I want to reiterate, while we are working hard to support all of these priorities and integrations, not a single token has been sold on the open market.

Founders Tokens

The founders each have a personal allocation of OMI tokens which are visible on the blockchain.

These tokens still reside on the GOchain network and cannot be used on any CEX or DEX until bridged over to ERC-20.

While having requested that they both migrate their tokens over to Ethereum for the better part of a year, and even mentioning that this would occur in a medium article over 6 months ago, the tokens remained untouched and unsold.

The founders are not permitted to access bis dev tokens for their own personal gain, nor would they need to as they have tokens of their own that they can do with as they please.

As I wrap this up, I want to say that I should have anticipated that assumptions and narratives may have formed in lieu of having actual answers to what was occurring, and I take full responsibility for any confusion that may have occurred.

I sometimes look at situations through the my own lens, which would consider the commitment from the founders to utilizing the bis dev to further the project a positive, without considering the optics of what it looks like to others.

I hope that this provides a bit of clarity and answers some of the questions that people had; if any more arise, just respond in the comments below and I will do my best to answer where I can.
