My accidental journey to a six-pack.
In the last few years I have gone from this to this.
I’m 54. I’ve suddenly got a 6-pack. Sort of. A 4-pack. I’ve lost 48 pounds (22 kg). My metabolic age has come down from 57 (when I was 51) to 49. I'm super fit.
What happened?
This month marks 30 years since I was on The Elvis Hour with @WillieMradio - phoned in and won a copy of 'Good Times' that had just been released on Cd. Still have a tape somewhere but my voice was still quite high as I was only 14 lol #elvis#sundayswillneverbethesame
"The Day the Music Died" happened 65 years ago, on February 3, 1959. Buddy Holly at the age of 22, Richie Valens at the age of 17 and "The Big Bopper" at the age of 28 were all killed in a plane crash near Clear Lake, Iowa alongside the pilot Roger Peterson (21).
Feb2,1959 prior to 1:55am Feb3 J P Richardson swaps seats with Waylon Jennings; Tommy Allsup lost his seat to Richie Valens coin toss. 2009 Dion said he won coin toss but didn't want to pay $36 seat fee. Buddy Holly, Valens, Richardson & pilot Roger Peterson get on the plane
This new version of The Chriping Crickets sounds fantastic! Great to hear these recordings in stereo - and it is amazing!

@stevenrutter64@marklewisohn@KennethAWomack They were playing at the Morgue Skiffle Club the night Buddy and the Crickets played Liverpool. Also, John Lennon was known to say that live acts didn't sound as good as the records.
@AllTimeTopTen@BuddyHollyATC @BuddyHollyCtr @tbhef@BuddyHolly18 Can't fault the scores - very innovative song, with a simple sound. The drumming on the knees, celeste solo, the delicate tone. Plus a great contrast to the A side Peggy Sue
Break a leg to all the cast and crew of @BuddyTheMusical - opening tomorrow night in Basildon. Have a good run - see you in Sheffield in July @chrislweeks
P.s Get your tickets now people! #BuddyHolly
@OJBorg not sure if you had an answer to why Suspicious Minds fades. It's simply because when Elvis started performing it live, he would do it that way. So, the record company added a fade to the recording to mimic it before release.
