I have a killer CV, education- and language-wise, but all they ever focus on in job interviews (in a positive way) are my travels. It's a selling point, as they assume I have an in-depth understanding about a wide variety of cultures and people. It's not a gap, it's an enrichment

@tspadventure 9, I learned all in high school (Dutch, English, German, French, Ancient Greek, Latin), but 2 (Spanish, Portuguese), which I learned traveling. I'd say out of all I'm fluent in 5... the others I can read/understand perfectly but with an entry level in conversation.
@flyawaycouple Just made a tortilla papa (spanish omelet) for the first time today. Just eggs, onion, potatoes and some spices of choice. Delicious and filling.
