@themouthmatusow I think there should be factors for prestige events. For example, Main: 5x the points; PPC 3x the points; $10K official “championship” events double the points. And if I read the POY rules correctly they should not give points for merely playing (and busting) an event.
Only twice in American League history has a team had its starter strike out 9+ batters while allowing 2 or fewer hits in 3 straight games (reg or post).
Both times it was the @tigers:
Oct. 10-13, 2013 (Verlander, Sánchez, Scherzer)
June 28-30, 2026 (Flaherty, Mize, Skubal)
Not-entirely-trollish suggestion: I think the World Cup should pause for ~3 days in between the group and knockout stages so people can fill out brackets.
Granted, mostly an American thing, but this is a very important mechanism for the NCAA tournament for bringing in casuals.
.@jeffplatt I really don’t think I can take anymore of the condescending coverage we get from Jared Bleznick. It totally destroys my enjoyment of the coverage that otherwise has been really good this summer. @WSOP
@jeffplatt as just a viewer, I find it annoying that the dealer takes so long on an all-in to deal out the flop. I get the drama of a mild pause — but it’s very irritating taking as long as they are. 😴
It was 2 years ago today that we launched Venice.
So much has changed since then, but not the principles on which we're building it. The separation of mind and state remain just as important.
"Search the world’s information, have rich conversations, analyze documents, create interesting images and art of any style at the push of a button. Various AI services offer these things, so what makes Venice unique?
• Venice doesn’t spy on you
• Venice doesn’t censor the AI
In other words, Venice is private, and Venice is permissionless."
