The #TIBBIR bridge is a one-way burn. That can still be a taxable sale.
You send Base #TIBBIR (0xA4A2E2ca3fBfE21aed83471D28b6f65A233C6e00) into the bridge. That amount is burned. Chainlink CCIP waits about 69 Base blocks, roughly 2 minutes. Then the Robinhood contract (0x4db7374E966097be94C6680d49156D580F097Bbf) releases the same number of a different token from a reserve that was minted in full when the contract was deployed.
There is no swap into ETH. ETH only covers the message fee and gas. 1:1 means the token count, not the price or the liquidity. The burned Base tokens do not come back. There is no bridge the other way.
Ribbitaβs own terms say a burn, mint, migration, disposition, receipt, fee payment, or a change in chain or token contract may be a taxable event. They also say no tax is reported or paid for you. https://t.co/rkIyAWVogM
Moving the same coin between your own wallets is not a sale. This is not that. You give up one contract and receive another. The IRS treats swapping one digital asset for a different one as a capital gain or loss. Matching the count 1:1 does not make them the same asset.
Not tax advice. Your facts decide it.
The TIBBIR bridge is NOT just moving your tokens between wallets.
You burn Base TIBBIR and permanently receive a different token contract on Robinhood Chain.
1:1 means token count β not that the assets are identical for tax purposes.
Under IRS digital-asset rules, exchanging one materially different digital asset for another can be a taxable disposition.
And TIBBIRβs own terms acknowledge that burns, mints, migrations and other transactions may be taxable.
Do your own research and talk to a tax professional. This is not tax advice.
the bead is tuned to absorb ambient RF in a narrow band that matches common Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular sidebands, then re-radiates a heavily attenuated echo back toward the nearest access point or cell tower. Because the βnoiseβ is converted to heat, ordinary spectrum analyzers see almost nothing unusualβjust a slightly warmer cable. The real payload is the tiny modulation buried in that thermal signature, which can be decoded by equipment most people never own. Placement right next to the laptopβs power inlet puts it inside the deviceβs own electromagnetic envelope, so it doesnβt need its own battery or obvious antenna.Thatβs why the part shows up on cheap no-name bricks and premium OEM chargers alike, why removing it rarely breaks charging, and why the official explanation has stayed almost word-for-word identical for twenty years. The joke replies in the thread (βit ate the previous laptopβ) accidentally point at the same idea: once the bead is in the power path, the machine is never fully offline.π€‘π
That detail matters. If Base `$TIBBIR` is **burned** and you receive a **different-contract** Robinhood `$TIBBIR`, the IRS often treats that as a **disposition + acquisition** β i.e. a **taxable exchange**, not a plain wallet move.
Youβd generally recognize gain/loss on the Base tokens (FMV of what you get, or of what you give up, minus your cost basis), then the RH tokens get a **new basis** at that FMV. Same ticker doesnβt automatically make it non-taxable when the token/contract changes.
Gray area exists (some argue βsame economic assetβ), but burn + new contract is the riskier fact pattern. Not tax advice β worth a crypto-savvy CPA if the dollars are material.
Arc just shipped Interop.
Moving USDC (and other Circle assets) between Arc and other chains without the usual bridge mess. Same stack Circle already uses β CCTP for the actual transfer, Gateway so your balance isnβt split across a dozen wallets, and a relay so youβre not stuck hunting gas on the other chain.
Builders get Bridge Kit + Arc Studio. Issuers get a path to launch multichain assets with controls baked in.
Arc isnβt only οΏ½οΏ½οΏ½another L1.β Theyβre trying to be the place liquidity sits and then shows up wherever you need it.
Official writeup: https://t.co/5yBRdDlG7w
StableFX just went live on Arc.
In normal English: Circle turned on a system so approved companies can swap one countryβs digital dollars for anotherβs β any day, any hour, including weekends. Both sides of the trade settle together, so one side doesnβt pay and wait for the other.
Whoβs in the picture so far:
- Circle runs it
- Wavebridge (Korea) has said itβs among the early institutions plugged in
- Regional partners behind the local currencies include Avenia (Brazil), BDACS (Korea), Forte (Australia), Juno (Mexico), Stablecorp (Canada), https://t.co/3EonxPGo59 (Philippines), JPYC (Japan), and ZAR Universal Network (South Africa)
Itβs not open retail trading yet β approved institutions only, and only some currency pairs at launch.

Uniswapβs Arc fee Snapshot just cleared quorum.
Overnight it jumped from ~4.3M For (under the 10M bar) to ~15.2M For. Against still 0. Vote is still ACTIVE through about Sep 23, 9:41 AM CT.
Important: protocol fees on Arc are not live yet. Snapshot success is step one β an onchain vote still has to pass before Uni v2/v3/v4 fees on Arc actually turn on and feed the UNI burn stack.
First clear governance milestone for Uniswap on Arc since mainnet. Donβt confuse βquorum clearedβ with βfees are on.β
